JAMES SCHEIDER IS A NYC-BASED MUSICIAN AND ACTOR.
Hailing from Seattle, Scheider has spent the last 12 years establishing himself as a multi-hyphenate, dynamic artist on the city’s stages and music venues. He holds residencies at Don’t Tell Mama and Mimi’s Piano Bar, with special appearances at The Townhouse and more – some of New York’s well-known piano bars.
When James is not serenading or accompanying piano bar patrons, he works independently as a composer and music producer out of his home studio in upper Manhattan, Studio Bogardus. His compositions have been featured across a wide variety of platforms, from live on stage as the frontman of his band, James Scheider & the Ol’ So & So’s, to a web cooking series created during the pandemic.
James has traveled the world as part of the USO, a National Tour of the hit Broadway musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, and various other performance groups. He has performed on and Off-Broadway in NYC, and in regional theaters across the country, and when he is not on the road, James teaches music students out of Studio Bogardus, in a variety of instruments and disciplines.
He currently lives in upper Manhattan with his partner and feisty rescue tabby cat.
